Quality by tradition

The company AKEMI chemisch technische Spezialfabrik GmbH was established in 1933 by Erich Höntsch in Dresden, Germany. The founder of the company developed the first adhesives based on polyester resin and recognised the trend-setting importance of reactive resins for the stone industry.

AKEMI stands for continuous improvement

Since then AKEMI has been a world leader in the development and manufacture of 2-component adhesive and filling systems based on polyester and epoxy resins. Building on this experience, an extensive and precisely coordinated care programme for natural and artificial stones has been developed and continuously improved over the past decades. This product range is supplemented by high-quality sealants from the construction chemicals range. Products such as 2-component fillers for car repair and maintenance are another business segment of AKEMI.

AKEMI is ISO9001:2015 certified.

New solution concepts

As a future-oriented company AKEMI is constantly working on the improvement and expansion of its product range in order to be able to offer its customers innovative solutions in the future. Today AKEMI exports to more than 90 countries around the world and also has manufacturing facilities and distribution offices in the USA (Atlanta), Brazil (São Paulo), Turkey (Tuzla/İstanbul), India (Bangalore and Delhi) and China (Beijing).
